Finding Waldo...I mean Curt!!
I've spent today off and on trying to go through hundreds of photos online of my husband's missions trip. He's currently either on a train or in Turkey. I got the joy of speaking to him and a couple of his new friends today on the cellphone. I signed him up for the International call plan...cheap for $5.99/month...not so cheap the per minute fee of $1.99-2.29!! YIKES!!!! Needless to say we've only chatted a couple of times and only for 15 minutes...but that still adds up VERY quickly!!! Thank God the customer service agent with the cellphone company said it will take 2-3 months for those calls to show up on our bill...in the mean time we will both have to save our pennies to pay for it when it comes!! Smile!
For those who don't want to play "Where's Waldo" through hundreds of pictures below is the City and day number (if there is one) and then the # of the picture Curt is in. There a several really good ones of him. One way to aid in your search...he's typically always wearing a black MU hat and has a small bag that he wears across his body.
You can reach the blog about his trip at:
http://www.riverultion.net - Click on the big picture at the top of the page to go to the daily blogs.
Thus far I've seen him in pictures in:- Romania - # 91 and 108
- In Varna, Bulgaria... Day one - he's in 44 (I think) and 91 is a really good one of him and another guy on the trip. Day two - he's in a yellow shirt 13 - this is definitely a Waldo moment!!
- Nova Zagora - I've seen him in #33, 37, 66, 77, 89
- Kazanlak - Day One - #36 and Day Two - #s 22, 166
While in Sofia their hotel room didn't have air conditioning...which made him and his roommate Bob seriously consider walking 2 blocks and getting a room at the Hilton! It's about as hot there as it is here! At one point his carry-on was lost...only to be found the next day in the people's room next door. (Gypsies helped deliver the luggage that day...and several had missing pieces of luggage!!).
I've had the Geek Squad here most of the day installing my new desktop computer for Sonshine Therapy Services, my therapy business! Now the house is wireless too! YEAHHH!! Which will allow for Curt & I both to be on the computer at the same time! Oh what luxury!!
I have several large projects I'm still trying to wrap up before Curt comes home Thursday night. The biggest being turning the finished part of the basement into a little "den" get-away for Curt. That way if he wants to watch his WWE wrestling, ultimate fighting or anything else I don't allow on while I'm home (I absolutely HATE violence!!) he can retreat to the den to enjoy. Currently that area has been the dump and store area since we've been married. Somewhere in there is a twin bed! Craziness!
I aslo have a great deal of kids to see this week AND reports to write, not to mention I already have had some of my teachers call me telling me of meetings I need to attend! I-yi-yi!!! I need at least one more month of summer!!
Hope all is well with you! God bless ya!

I think it is so sweet how closely you are following your hubby's trip. Blessings!
Did your husband or the Country Club pay for his mission trip?
God Bless Libby!!!!
LOL that is awesome! I normally am not that bad but, that night, I was having a hard time or something....
Phew, $60 for a 15 minute phone call! Eeek. And you just want to talk so badly, probably. I know how that is. I paid an enormous price for a phone call once. I was in St Louis on business and Branson was still in school in Rolla. I called him from the hotel, misunderstanding their phone policy. I used a calling card, but it didn't matter. It was something like $.35 a minute for the use of their line, period. Ooh, that hurt.
Got your message. Saw the comment from bozo. S/he sounds quite bitter.
Hey! So Waldo's home??!! That's terrific. No wonder you haven't posted
I LOVE golfing. I love it more than I love volleyball, which is a lot. I have a really nice set of clubs that I never use b/c I can't ever seem to find the time OR justify the expense to indulge my penchant for golf. You're welcome to borrow them and go out with your hubby. OR, we could go together, maybe?? Who knows, maybe I could find someone to watch my kiddoes on an evening sometime. Maybe my husband and your husband could hang out at your house one night with my kids and we could go . . . and we could share the clubs, no problem. You're a little taller than me, but I think they'd work fine. I've been told I'm a great teacher. I used to golf once a week, too . . . sigh. Oh, the life I had once upon a time, ha ha.
RYC - I took advantage of my second "childless" day by going to work. Actually I was pretty excited about it because it's a whole lot easier to do a job without kids to entertain. Then after I was there about 3 hours, Bob calls me and he's done for the day. He is bored and lonely, so I came home and now we are both hanging around here bored -HA HA! Oh well, I guess I will finish my job tomorrow...........
RYC: Salvador is so great...what an amazing singer is lead, Nik....gorgeous voice....beautiful smile and God's joy shining forth in all he does. At COTM we are usually in the first couple rows so we have great views. I sense a CD in our future here.......
I know ! In fact, before the service as we were sitting and looking at the beautiful stuffed buddies and flowers, I whispered to Braden, "I sure hope CMH has an empty storeroom!" and he said, "That's what I was thinking !"
Isn't God GREAT, though???
Also, I would guess that there were no stuffed animals left in Joplin stores by yesterday a.m. Good boost for the economy !
"The silver is Mine, the gold is Mine" says the Lord !
(I, too, used to work in hospitals and Drs offices.)
You're absolutely right! It's a fantasy. What's wrong with us?? All I want is a nice back yard for my kiddoes and a bathroom, relatively close to my bed
RYC: I actually got a pair of Sketchers on Friday for work! Crazy coincidence. They are pretty great, but my feet are still hurting. The only thing to stop that may be to not stand for 6 hours (minus two 10-minute breaks!) consecutively.
Thanks for the advice though!
Aug 11th last post?? We are pining for an update on your life, my dear !
A blessed Yom Kippur to you.
RYC: I hate cleaning out my van. The things those kiddos leave in the very back are often science experiements when I get to them. It's gotten better lately because we don't eat out as often as we used to so I'm packing snacks for them on busy days. The papers from church and school add up very quickly as well.
I like the harvest theme on your site.... very cool!
RYC: have you lost 30 lbs? Because you were looking slimmer yesterday at church! I fell off of the "losing" wagon this summer but I'm climbing back on now. I hope to be down about 12 pounds by the end of October....
Consider yourself blessed my friend! To not be constantly thinking of the iPhone, daydreaming about spending hours playing with it, counting the hours until you either have enough money to buy one or until you can hold someone else's... is a good thing. Yes, it IS an addiction. haha.
Ive used the bedhead stuff. The hairspray is awesome!
I love the new layout on your page. Nicely done.
Your Fri p.m. of worship PLUS a baby, sounds absolutely wondrous to me ! I'm sure Shawn appreciated all the love the little one was receiving, too ! We were so glad that the cybersainting was working well--we really needed that night--thanks for the prayers to make it sing, because it did !
Hey - There isn't much new to report other than construction news. They have removed alot, if not all of the debree from the river, but where there is land the bridge is still there for the most part. They kind of did it interestingly. They tore down the rubble like they would a fully functional bridge. They basically removed the top layer of cement/asphault and then pulled it away that way. They did open up the bridge finally to the east side and so you can walk and over look the site; however, I haven't had a chance to walk it, only drive it. I still dont think they have released a cause, at least not that I have heard of. If I hear anything I will let you know!
