  • Bringing in 007!!

Okay...so it's a week into 007 and I'm just now posting our exciting New Year's celebration!  Hopefully you all will have a little grace on me!

We started our New Years Eve at the Daniels (aka briansbabe and daniel6pack) having a superb time snacking on munchies and playing some serious Phase 10!  SciFi_Whacked and my hubby caught on EXTREMELY quickly for being newbies at the game!!  We sure had fun planning out our skip cards!  My hubby Curt was went away smiling cuz he walked away the winner of the evening.  I personally think it was beginner's luck!  (Sorry...no pics here.  I forgot to get the camera out of my coat pocket! UGH!!)

From there we went to WOLC to ring in the New Year!  Pastor's New Year message (watch for it at that link)was inspiring, exciting and filled with anticipation for this next year.

Then my favorite part of the evening when the clock strikes midnight...

and balloons fall from the sky!!!  Children and adults go nuts!!!

    Here come the balloons!!

Here's our FIRST New Years together as a married couple...everyone, ahhhhhhhh!

Here's a picture to make you thankful for our faithful clean up crew!!  God bless 'em!

    Poor Dan!

Here's my good friend Katie (aka Samsonkitty) with Hannah Victoria (the bun in the oven)!!

    Mom soon-to-be!!

We left the church about 1ish and then decided to go to Sampsonkitty & husband's house for a game of Monopoly.  We started this game at about 1:30 AM with the intent to play and then go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast!

    SUGAR HIGH!!!

Curt (my hubby) licking the last drops of his "Full Throttle" energy drink and hugging the chocolate chip cookie batter bowl!

Needless to say we had some great laughs while playing.  I was doing pretty good...at one point I had the most money than the other players.  And then players started to drop out like flies.  And then, it was down to only Jeff and I!

The Monoply Winner!! It's serious folks!

While we played...the rest of the house slept!

We started off with me owning half the board and having more than twice the money that Jeff had (at one time he was down to only $100).  He kept landing on Chance and no $$ spots and I kept landing on all his properties with mega hotels time and time again!  Needless to say, he cleared my clock and robbed me blind!!  We finished the game at 6:30 AM and spent the next 30 minutes trying to wake everyone up for our Cracker Barrel run!!

It was a yummy breakfast...but I was WAY TOO tired to fully enjoy it!

Can you see how tired we are??

All and all, I've learned that I'm too old for staying up ALL night AND totally despise Monopoly!  I swear, I'm never playing that game ever again...not unless it's Monopoly Jr. and I'm playing with children!!

Hope your 007 is fruitful and bright!

    Blessings!

  • you like photographing sleeping people... do they have a name for that kind of psychosis?

  • Hehehehe--- love those pics!

  • That was a fun post to read. Although I felt tired after seeing your sleepy faces. Going to take a nap now.

  • Hey, I tagged you... come visit my site to read the rules...

  • How fun! I stayed up all night playing Monopoly once. 4 of us played 3 games in a row! I think I might want to do that again sometime.

  • Loved all the pictures, those were great! What a wonderful way to ring in the New Year at your church. More churches should provide that I think.

Monopoly...I don't like it either which makes me the resident "stinker" when being asked to play with the hubby and my daughter. They get downright upset if I don't play but I hate that game because the very premise of it is selfishness. Then you win by pushing other people into financial ruin, that's just flat wrong. I also don't like that it takes about four to six hours to get through as well.

And I'm too old to stay up past my bedtime to ring in the new year too.

  • I love these pictures!! They are great. Libby I just want to thank you and Curt for blessing me so much on Sunday. It was awesome, and even the card you got was perfect for what the Lord has already been whispering to me! You are a woman who knows and hears from the Lord!!!
